Our guest, Eric Herdman, has been in front of well over 20,000 people throughout his career and counting. He has delivered over 1,000 virtual sessions to audiences around the world in just the last 5 years. He has also facilitated countless in-person workshops as an organizational development expert spanning the last 3 decades.
In this episode, Eric shares a couple of milestone moments from his professional triathlon years. There are times where we will crash (metaphorically), and it’s our job to reassess, repair and reinvent ourselves sometimes in the adaptations we make to move forward. You could be training or working towards a big accomplishment, and as we know, things don’t always go as planned. However, adversity is how we are built to learn and evolve.

In addition, remember what you think comes naturally to someone may not be the case. Success is not a linear path from point A to point B. What gets missed are the years and struggles of something not feeling great; but it doesn’t mean you stop. There are no shortcuts to circumvent the hardships, or twists and turns to get to success.  We each have our own unique path forward in how we achieve certain things, and it may feel repetitive at times. What works for you, may not work for someone else, which is the basis of N = 1 (the study of one). Enjoy the episode!
